Wrapping Up Our Resource Mobilization and Fundraising Training Series! 🌟After a series of rigorous state and national-level workshops on Resource Mobilization and Fundraising, we are excited to wrap up our 5th and final training session in Maharashtra. This impactful initiative is part of the EPIC project, in collaboration with FHI 360 and funded by USAID. Over the past two months, we have had the privilege of engaging with over 40 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) dedicated to supporting high-risk groups. These workshops created a collaborative platform to share expertise, build robust fundraising strategies, and accelerate resource mobilization efforts—critical steps toward achieving the 95-95-95 framework. The 95-95-95 targets, established by UNAIDS, aim to:- Ensure 95% of people living with HIV know their status, -Ensure 95% of those who know their status are on antiretroviral therapy (ART),- Ensure 95% of those on ART achieve viral suppression. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the participants for their authentic engagement, enthusiasm, and eagerness to learn. Your passion made this journey a truly collaborative and rewarding experience. We are eager to see the continued impact of these efforts in the communities you serve. Together, we can help make the end of AIDS a reality! 🌍❤️#Fundraising #NonprofitStrategy #CSOs #ResourceMobilization #USAID #CapacityBuilding

🌟 Unlocking Impact: Understanding the Value-Money-Capacity Cycle in NGOs 🌍The interplay between value, money, and capacity is pivotal for any NGO's journey. A higher impact often catches donor attention, translating into increased funding. This influx of funds enables hiring experts, thus enhancing capacity. Improved capacity then fuels even greater impact, creating a positive feedback loop.Conversely, a decline in impact can reduce funding and capacity, leading to diminished outcomes. Many grassroots CSOs, despite delivering high impact, struggle to communicate effectively, hindering their ability to attract funding and scale their efforts. At CSA, we empower such CSOs to bridge this gap. By helping them secure more funds, we aim to amplify their impact and foster sustainable change in communities nationwide. Together, let's turn their value into action!#NGOImpact #SocialChange #CSAInitiative

Fresh from real time dashboard! In 2023, there were 5 reported deaths due to malaria in Bangladesh among 16,620 cases. Malaria is only found in three districts: Bandarban, Khagrachari, and Rangamati. As Bangladesh is determined to eliminate malaria by 2030, removing this focal disease requires strengthened and accelerated efforts. Hence, GroupMappers is working with spatial data of remote and hard-to-reach communities so that interventions can be targeted and strategic. It was with great sadness that I learned aidsmap is to close. My connection to aidsmap is longer and deeper than the almost eight years I spent working there. For me, as it has been for many, aidsmap was invaluable as a source of information and comfort when I was newly diagnosed with HIV, way back in 1998. During my time working there I frequently met people who told me that the calm, authoritative information it provided for people with HIV had supported them through their diagnosis, many told me that they doubted they would have survived without it - what an extraordinary, humbling thing to hear. Aidsmap was also vital to those engaged in preventing new infections; it was the primary source of information for the campaigns I developed while I was at Gay Men Fighting AIDS. Aidsmap enthused me to learn more about the mechanics of prevention and treatment - and the intersections between these two strands. It was from aidsmap that I first heard that HIV treatment drugs may also be effective as prevention, what we now know as PrEP, and it was from aidsmap’s Gus Cairns that I first heard about the impact of treatment on transmission risk, what came to be known as Undetectable means Untransmittable (U=U).Working at aidsmap was a highlight of my professional experience. I am grateful for the opportunities it gave me, not least the chance to work with an incredibly dedicated and skilled team of staff and consultants towards a shared vision of a world where HIV is no longer a threat to health and happiness.I am proud of aidsmap’s many achievements: empowering people with HIV in their interactions with healthcare providers; raising standards for HIV knowledge; tackling stigma with science; promoting PrEP; leadership in sharing the news that HIV treatment prevents transmission. It was a difficult choice to step away from a job that I loved. It was a decision unrelated to the challenging series of events that has since led to the announcement that aidsmap is to close. My heart is with the staff team. I am devastated that aidsmap will close and moved by the many messages of support. I remain hopeful that some way will be found to maintain the best source of HIV information in the world; I am confident that, whatever else, aidsmap’s legacy will live on.PS For those wondering if there is anything they can do, I can only borrow the words of Helen Moulinos:1. Employ this fabulous team as they are looking for jobs at this difficult time. 2. For those in position of power and wealth, if you are able to identify funding to disrupt this decision please get in touch with us. 3. Check in on my colleagues who would love to hear from you and would value your kindness. 4. Support your HIV charities so that they survive and carry on our work.

In the vibrant yet challenging landscapes of Ttamu, Uganda, the children that our friends over at Ttamu Ministries Uganda serve radiate joy and hope, despite facing hardships every day. These incredible young souls, affected by HIV/AIDS, find solace and strength in our faith-driven support, believing firmly that they have a purposeful future under God's watchful eye. However, behind their smiles lies a reality of relentless struggles. Every day, their team is on a mission to secure enough food, combat diseases like malaria, and maintain the basic functionality of our facilities. Despite these hurdles, the children's spirits remain unshakably positive.Their current challenge is stark: caring for over 55 children on less than a third of their necessary monthly budget of $5,000. This severe underfunding means facing days without food or electricity—essential not only for comfort but for drawing water from our well. Education, a basic right, becomes a luxury, with only a select few able to afford school fees.𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽We urgently need your support to continue our mission. Every donation, no matter the size, significantly alleviates the pressure on their staff and enhances the lives of these children. Consider making a profound impact by committing to a monthly donation. Even if you're not able to contribute financially, your prayers are powerful and appreciated.Join us in nurturing hope and health in the hearts of Ttamu's children. Two weeks ago my charity carried out our biggest project to date.We provided free genotype testing to 700 children and families in some of the most rural areas in Kogi State, Nigeria.Together with our strategic partner, Hope at Dawn Foundation, wesuccessfully completed this important work. The impact of this simple screening is life-changing.In places where sickle cell disease often goes undiagnosed until a deadly crisis, early identification opens the door to proper treatment, counselling and support. It empowers parents with the knowledge to make informed family choices. The staggering infant mortality numbers in Kogi reveal the urgent need for proactive disease education and accessible testing.Over the course of a week, our dedicated team will travelled through remote villages, offering free testing, diagnosis, medication, and follow-up plans. We engage communities through awareness campaigns, mobilizing local leaders as partners in this mission. Our goal is to foster a sickle-cell-conscious society where the disease's risks are understood, and affected families receive holistic care.A huge congratulations to my amazing team members i left in charge to project manage this vital mission Molille Danladi🦄 & Susan Azugbene. They did an amazing job in co ordinating the team, working evenings and weekends in the run up to this outreach.Early diagnosis and proper support can alter destinies. The question is: will you join us? I welcome collaborators and donors who share our vision of health equity.#healthcare #charity

🌍 Raising Awareness for Multiple Sclerosis in African countries🌍A couple of years ago, we started investigating the prevalence of multiple sclerosis (MS) in Ghana. Contrary to some beliefs, MS does exist in Africa, and we didn’t believe it was in small numbers. While doing our research, we discovered a courageous young lady online ,who was battling an aggressive MS diagnosis without treatment. She was raising funds on GoFundMe to seek treatment in America.Unfortunately, we lost track of her campaign and cannot find the GoFundMe post or her contact details. Her story deeply impacted us and fueled our passion to support MS patients in Ghana and West Africa. Now, with #AFRICTRIMS BUILDING MOMENTUM, it fills our hearts with hope for Ghanaian MS patients and other African patients. There is hope for better diagnosis, treatment, and support for those suffering in African countries and with the growing success of #ECTRIMS We have high hopes for the African franchise. If anyone knows this brave lady or has information about her story, please let us know. The last update we got about her many years ago was that she had passed the halfway point in the donations needed for her treatment, so we hope she was able to have it.The fact that there was no adequate healthcare in her own country and that she had to raise funds to go abroad is heartbreaking. National healthcare in any country is not 100%, but in many countries in Africa conditions are so dire that even some African leaders go abroad because they can’t trust their own countries' medical systems. For those who can’t afford to go abroad and get help, like this lady who had to raise the funds, it can take weeks or months when you need emergency care. So initiatives like AFRICTRIMS give hope to MS patients in these African countries, so myself and my patient organisation The Nerve Of My Multiple Sclerosis CIC Welcome AFRICTRIMS and it’s a blessing to see Ghana getting involved. 🙏🏾#MultipleSclerosis #Ghana #Healthcare #Fundraising #SupportMSPatients #WestAfrica #MSAwareness #HealthEquity #MedicalSupport #ChronicIllness #PatientAdvocacy #GlobalHealth #AfricaHealth #HopeForMS
